My oil is burning through like crazy. Drove 12 hours with my daughters and had basically no oil. Dangerous. Just had oil changes Tuesday and had to go back today to get more.

Had car supposedly recalled for new rings and pistons in May of 2017. They did not replace rod bearings. Told us not necessary. When I picked up car after supposed repairs, I was told no guarantee or warranty on work done per GM. That was not true after call to GM when engine exploded 3 months later. Was told by dealership that I bought car from and did the work that it was due to normal wear and tear. That was not normal with 83000 original miles on engine and brand new pistons and rings.

Dealership JACK EVANS CHEVROLET IN FRONT ROYAL VA told me to fix my car would cost me almost $10k and that was for a remanufactured engine, plus labor with no warranty or guarantee. Took car to another dealership in town and they told me $5500.00 for brand new engine plus labor. We are on a limited income so car has been sitting at other dealership for over a year.

If anyone asks me if I would buy another car from Jack Evans Chevy I tell them absolutely not. I told GM I would never buy another Chevy. For all those complaints about the Equinoxes I am just thankful to be alive, we were almost killed when she blew up.

I've had my car, 2012 Chevy Equinox for about 8 months and it has been in the shop twice with engine problems. Now it is leaking oil and I learn just yesterday my pistons are gone and they have to tear my engine apart. This is a significant issue and it seems its a problem with the manufacturer due to others having the same problem. I don't want this car because its just going to cause me more problems down the road than its worth. I'm going to call the dealership to take this piece of sh*t back!!!
