Driving in the middle if the dessert and there's no street lights, I'm driving with highbeams to make sure I don't hit a coyote or anything. Then all if a sudden everything was black. Being me I freaked out once I realized it was my lights out, but the car was still running, I switched my lights off and then back on and the car acted as if she didn't do anything. My fix was not using the high beams anymore.

The headlights on my 2000 chevy impala started having issues a few months back. My blinker was going really fast starting all the way back in June. Since my headlights have quit working completely. I have replaced the headlight switch and low and behold my dash lights finally work after years. Did I forget to mention that not working as well. Well, they work now. Headlights still don't work. I replaced the blinker switch. Blinker is working mow and still NO HEADLIGHTS! I replaced the ambient light sensor that was a pain in the ass to even locate and still NADA!!! This is really starting to get under my skin because I need my car. I'm a stay at home mom and my husband works second shift. So glad we have two cars but if there's an emergency where I need to go somewhere at night I am stuck. My highbeams work just fine. I have read so many stories of the same issue. GMC really needs to get this issue fixed. I love my car and I can't be stranded at home anymore at nights. I'm also pregnant so if labor starts why should I have to take my car with no headlights to the hospital? Please fix this issue. I just hope my husband's car don't break or he doesn't get into an accident or I don't have an emergency to where I have to leave past 5 o'clock. I can't even take it to the airport to drop my friend off that needed the ride. Instead I have to keep my daughter up by taking my husband to and from work so I can use his car. It's great because she oy wakes up really early so keeping her up passed midnight is so awesome for a one year old. Someone please help. We have spent so much already trying to fix this issue. Everyone complains but no one says what they did to fix it. Gmc did a recall on the freaking key but they won't on the headlights? That's just stupid. Also I'm having an issue as to where it seems like my throttle sticks and after I shut off my car and turn it back on it resumes running normal. Happened after husband switched out iac. Maps sensor was fixed in June as well.
