A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

Ok so today is 1/17/14, I bought my Impala, which I called my blue dream, on 8/27/13. When I got Blue dream she already had some slight but meaningless defect of the bipolar door locks!, and of course the infamous 'TC light!', and of course can't forget the temp pass code problems, from the original owner with only 78.5k miles . I Can Not stress enough my love for Miss. Blue Dream, I had even recently made arrangement for my 16 year old son to take over Miss. Blue while Mamma gets herself an upgrade!!!! But today out of nowhere with no warning directly after getting gas, Miss.Blue Dream caught fire while I was driving with my 5 yr old child in the car. It's a total loss, I'm sure, & had it not been for a fast acting old man and fire department, my child and I almost died. Help, this is not......not acceptable. #1OutrangedMamma.

Update from Jan 18, 2014: This was a fire I don't know if it was the gas or the electrical issues that I was assured were just a glitch, and or unworthy of the light itself because nothing was wrong with my traction control, and yes my auto locks worked when they felt like it, my interior lights for the dash and radio would dim in and out as they pleased, and water would leak through the passenger side windshield only although the rubber was not damaged, and yes every now and then the pass code keypad remote or ignition would malfunction and although I'd turn the key and get lights and radio my car refused to start. Miss Blue Dream was a good car, the minor electrical issues appeared to be nothing. The pass code thing happened all of two times since buying the car and each time I had been running errands and would be turning the car off running in and out, never taking more than 5 -10 minutes in any given place..

But a fire while driving. I saw some smoke, but a fire!! I'm just so very taken aback, and shocked. I don't really feel safe with Chevy no more, and Chevy's were my very first love. I'm Alaskan!!, my first vehicle was a Suburban, my first AK hot-wheel was a Monte Carlo, and followed with a 72 Chevel. I'm crushed, I'm frightened for everyone I know with the Impala. There should be a mass Dmv automated system that registers peoples emails whenever they renew, get or obtain an ID or driver's license. That's the politically or most public safety rule of thumb,

I'm a used car buyer who could have died or lost my child or both because of a malfunction or defect whether intentionally by Chevy producers or not, people need to know, and someone needs to be responsible for not just making the information available when you type the specific problem into a web browser, but whenever a purchase for the defected or recall item is made and registered on any one government database. THIS IS SERIOUS.

Is it true that there was a defect in these cars that made it fire vulnerable having something to do with where you add the oil,a plastic plate and the sparkplugs...cuz mine burnt to the ground yesterday morning after having added oil and spilling a bit, nothing serious, the night before. I started my Impala to warm up, it`s cold here, it was not plugged in, when I returned in few minutes it was engulfed in smoke and flames...WTF!!!! My house almost went up with it. I bought this car used about 15 mths ago had had no serious ploblems with except sensor issues in that coolant, tc, lights would never go off but several mechanics said there was no problems with the parts. ..was this some crazy flook
