Signal lights quit working occasionally for no apparent reason and then start working later. Cycling the hazard switch and or hitting the dash above this switch will usually get them working again. The dealer suggested it could be either the hazard switch or the turn signal switch, both expensive fixes.Has there been a recall for this problem? Will GM pay something for the fix?

Also have coolant leak (started last year and then seemed to go away - but is back), have replaced the window switch on driver door, blinkers work when THEY want to - not when I need them too, and have had the car fail to start several times for no apparent reason. I'll try again to start in about a half hour or so and it will then start!!! Driving us crazy. We loved this car and the way it road but are now getting nickle and dimed to death.

Right blinker flashes 90 miles per hour on the control panel, and in the rear of the car the front blinker does not flash at all. Seems to have stemmed from the water standing in the headlights.

less than 50000 miles and turn signals don't work all the time. Local repair shop told me you have to replace the hazard light button, he said if turn signals don't work try jiggling the hazard light button. Tried it a few months ago and have not had a problem since. Hope they keep working.

THE LOSS OF STOP LAMPS AND REAR HAZARD LAMPS COULD FAIL TO WARN A FOLLOWING DRIVER THAT THE VEHICLE IS BRAKING AND/OR IS STOPPED AND COULD RESULT IN A CRASH. THE TURNING SIGNAL ALSO DOES NOT WORK EVEN WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING.

I manage to get the service dept. to admit that this is very common in the impala and Malibu. They said that the hazard switch usually causes this so I took a chance and replaced it myself. It worked!
