Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

The contact owns a 2003 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated that the turn signals failed to work. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The technician diagnosed that the multi function switch needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 180,000.

The contact owns a 2003 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated that the turn signals failed and would not engage. The dealer replaced the module and there had been no further occurences. In addition, the contact stated that the headlights worked intermittently. The dealer was unable to diagnose the failure. The current mileage was 75,100 and failure mileage was 75,047. Updated 05/21/08 the consumer stated the dealership reapired the problem. Updated 05/20/08.
