Turned on my car started pushing on the gas my car made a weird vibration type sound. Came up on message board traction control after a couple times of it doing that, the ABS and tax light come on and on the message window it says system traction service. It kinda freaked me out cause I was stopped at a red light went to go hit the gas and it said traction control and I moved a little than I had to let go of gas then try again. Also have had a couple incidents where I go to break and it makes a vibration feeling on the brake and brings up traction control again. Really would like this checked out very concerned. Don't want to get in an accident cause my car fails to take off.

On 01/03/2017, on a busy snow packed intersection, when the light turned green, I was pushed off the road by a large pickup truck, into a curb, which curb is taller than my Impala's frame to ground clearance. My left front tire and rim were ruined. The driver of the pickup continued North leaving the scene of the accident. Prior to GM's bankruptcy, my Impala ss, which was made in Canada, is a rusty, poorly painted, hastily thrown together piece of junk. It needs many used parts with which to make needed repairs. Reasonably priced, quality used parts are impossible to locate.

Chevrolet Impala 2004, traveling on a 4 lane divided highway, at 65mph, using cruise control, 2 adult passengers using seatbelts, driver saw truck entering the intersection from the drivers right side. The driver accelerated and swerved to avoid a collision. The Impala was struck by the truck. Skid marks were made on the highway by the tires of the Impala from the impact to where the Impala stopped and the engine stopped. The driver worked to put the car into park to restart the Impala in order to move the Impala to a safer position on the highway, out of the lanes of traffic. Upon stopping the driver turned off the ignition key to the off position. The key was not on a key ring. The key had been removed from the fob and key ring upon receiving the safety recall notice, GM recall 14350. The hazard blinkers were turned on. The driver and passenger moved to the adjacent frontage road. The driver of the truck called the local police. The driver of the Impala called 911. A police report was made. Pictures were taken of the damage to both vehicles and the skid marks on the highway, made by the Impala. No skid marks were visible along the path traveled by the truck. The Impala hazard blinkers were turned off. The driver attempted to start the Impala. The Impala did not start. The passenger worked to start the Impala, the dash lights did not turn on, the head lights did not turn on. A witness moved a vehicle into position to facilitate a "jump start", the Impala started, the security warning light was illuminated. The Impala was driven a short distance and parked, odometer reading 297336. Arrangements for repair have yet to be determined.

As I proceeded West down richmond ave the young lady was pulling out of her job parking lot. She was trying to head East on richmond ave., but she was talking on her cell phone and also looking West instead of the direction traffic was coming from. As she proceeded to cross 3 lanes of traffic without looking in the right direction and talking on her cell phone, I start to blow my horn as well as trying to merge into the far left lane to Dodge her from hitting me. That was a failed attempt she still ends up smashing into my passenger side panel along with the front bumper and tire. No airbags ever deployed.

New 2004 Chevy Impala ls first use 3/23/05. Three times since purchase I've had to replace a wheel bearing & hub assembly. March of 2006 the right rear, January of 2008 the left rear, October of 2009 the right front. Each time the ABS and service traction system lights were on. I paid $636.31 this last time. This appears to be a poor design and a safety issue which could lead to the car being undriveable. I was told that the tires would begin to wobble and the steering would be affected if not repaired within a certain amount of time. I've seen on line I'm not the only one who has had a problem with this defect. I'm concerned that the 4th one will fail, or the other 3 that have been replaced will fail again. I am #1 concerned with my safety & the safety of others on the road. I am also concerned about the money I've had to pay because of this design defect.

2004 Chevy Impala: In Aug 2007 had passenger side wheel hubs replaced. That wa at 54,000 miles. Now it is March 2008 and 25,000 miles later they needed replaced again. I have heard that if they fail all the way the wheel locks. Is this not a safety issue?? there are others out there who have had the same problem and the GM dealers ignore it.

The tires keep loosing air it takes about 2 days for them to loose about 10lbs. They are leaking because of corrosion of the wheel where the tire bead has to seal. The car has the indy special edition chrome plated aluminum wheels. The problem is caused by the chrome peeling off of the aluminum in the bead area the corrosion causes deep pits that will not let the tire seal. The dealership recommended to put inner tubes in the tires which are unsafe because of sudden deflation in case of a puncture. The wheels would cost I think over $2000 to replace the set. I think this is very bad quality on Chevy part. 4 wheels bad on a car is not a normal maintenance issue. It is a safety issue because of the constant air loss. 2004 Chevy Impala ss indy edition.

Bought a 2004 from russ darrow group in madison wi. This car was a rental car we paid 19K for it and it has 30K miles on it. It shakes when driving over 50mph and the brakes are unreliable. The salesman cooericed us into this car, and we tried to rectify the matter within 48 hours, but they won't cooperate. There are 2004 cars with 0 miles for less money, that have not been in any accidents. The front end is out of allignment and it is unsafe to drive. It is a 2004 Chevy Impala. We want a different, safe car, we do not want this fixed. The payments are almost 500 per month for six years. There are three different mileage amounts on the papers and on the contract the odometer says 0 striken out. Please help. Thank you.
