So I have has problems with the cooling and heating with this car since within a year of purchasing it (used with ~10k miles). At first the cooling became worse and worse to the point where it just would hardly cool any longer. I had it looked at numerous times by dealer and other services and they could get it all working again for a short time, but then eventually it would go back the way it was. It would cool ok as long as you were moving and the weather wasn't too hot. Then, after a couple of years the loud clicking began. It sounded like someone hitting a chalkboard with a pointer stick loudly and repeatedly. This would happen any time the air was turned onto max blow or max cool, god forbid both. If you fiddled with the dials a little, you could get it to stop though, and again it didnt get fixed because the couple of times I had someone look at it, the problem didn't repeat. Finally, just this year the defrosters quit working, as well as the heat in general (probably the same reason) unless you were driving fast. It as been really annoying this winter to be cold driving around in the car all of the time. The last straw is today the temperature gauge started spiking to the 'overheat' level. There is plenty of coolant, and I've read the solutions from other people with the same problem. I am headed to buy a new car instead of fix this bucket of bolts, and I will not be buying a Chevy again.
