I bought a 09 impala, had the rotors turned at12000 miles. again at 16000 miles. rotors replaced at 20000 miles. turned again at 25000. After the second turning a letter to GM got me an extended warranty to 65000 miles or until April 2015.I sent another letter after the fourth repair and was told a rep would call me,instead I received my answer from a call center located somewhere in the world. I was told that after consulting the dealership it was determined that my driving style and the mountain area I live in was the cause of my problem.A quick call to the dealer proved that false as GM had never contacted him.The rep also informed me that nothing else could be done to alleviate this problem other than keep having the rotors serviced and I already had an extended warranty. It seems that GM's policy is keep replacing parts till the warranty runs out, that to any sane person should be unacceptable.Does the American auto industry still wonder why the foreign car market gains market share.
