Impala LX V6

It started the jerking problem when you come to a stop sign and then take off. It doesn't happen all the time. I took it my dealership where I bought it and they said that nothing was wrong with it. Took it to a different town (same name on dealership) and they even drove it, but it didn't do it while they were driving it. I took my car in before the warranty was up on mileage/or years, but now it is still acting up. Chevy should have recalled the problem. Not everybody has the money to have something fixed that is Chevy's problem.

Impala

  • Automatic transmission
  • 111,000 miles

It began having a slipping issue a while ago. First noticed slipping when a traffic light would turn green just prior to a full stop. It continued to get worse. I had a mechanic look at it, It had one of the 3 internal fluid disbursement lines detached, so fluid was not getting to all internal areas properly. He flared this line and re-installed. This fixed the problem for about 2 weeks.

*Note: Transmission fluid was perfect, clean and red. No metal was found in pan.

Now ' transmission is slipping nearly every time on take off'. Once moving, the rest of the gears are smooth. But going into first is awful.

If this is such a common issue, why is there no recall?? A manufacturing issue should be a factory recall. Large expense for me.

Come on Chevrolet, step up!!!!!!!

Impala LT 3.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 131,000 miles

Bought this 2010 Impala LT and should've known the tranny was not to good because I had a 2010 Equinox that had 110,000 on it and the tranny went completely out and would've cost me 3300 dollars. I sent it back to the bank. Now the same year, same make is doing the same thing and I don't have 3300 to fix it and I own this Impala.

GM you should fix these trannys, cause its happening way to often to the 2010 s. Even my 99 Ford Taurus tranny is doing well with more miles. Ive had two 2010 Chevys and trannys out on both, Wont buy another they are pieces of sh*t do to the screwed up cheap made transmissions. J

The transmission started slipping & just got worse & worse! I understand from the dealer that fixed it that this model of Impala in 2010 is known to have this same problem!
