I was recently involved in a car accident which resulted in the front end being crushed to the point where it was considered to be a total loss, and yet the airbags failed to deploy. What's the point of installing airbags if they can't deploy upon impact. A minor 'hit the mailbox' I would understand, but a collision that damages the frame, radiator, ac, engine, and all front external pieces will certainly toss you forward, as I now know personally.
