I was driving on the interstate on 11/18/2012, when a car cut across all three lanes. It had not been raining, and the roads were dry, but when I applied my brakes to avoid hitting the car that cut me off, my wheels locked up sending me fishtailing at 70+ mph. I slid into the center lane, striking a vehicle on my right rear corner panel. I then repeatedly tried to pump my brakes and turn into the skid to regain control of the vehicle, and each time the wheels locked up again. After failing to regain control of my vehicle I hit the center guard rail, still going 60+ mph, collapsing the whole left side of my vehicle. After skidding to a stop, my "service airbag" warning came up on my center dashboard display, without even deploying. My car has been deemed totaled by insurance, and is no longer safe to drive. I was the only person in the car at the time, and emt's and fire fighters that arrived to the scene said if it weren't for the lack of cars on the road, I may not have survived.

Me and my daughter were driving to the store, we had passed an intersection it was a green light and the car in front of me slammed on her brakes, I responded with slamming on my brakes as well, however I could not avoid hitting the car in front of me head on, who then hit the car in front of them. The entire front end of my car was destroyed. I was in shock and could not believe my air bags did not deploy. Both me and my daughter still suffer from neck and back pain.

On May 1st 2009, while I was driving my 2006 Chevy Malibu on the highway, the airbags of the driver and passenger side were deployed. I was hit by the airbag and lost control of my vehicle. According to the other driver, I hit her car from the behind. I was blacked out at that moment and can't not recall the accident. Luckily, neither of the cars did not have any obvious damage. I sent my car to Chevy dealer and the Chevy engineer diagnosed a malfunctioned sensor that mis-triggered the airbags and they fixed it for free. I do not file this complaint for compensation. I just want people to be aware of this problem because it could be very dangerous on the road. Thank you very much your time!

My 2006 Chevy Malibu ltz was totaled in a 3 car accident. No front or side air bags were deployed. The point of impact was front driver side and head on front end. My vehicle was towed from the scene of the accident and was totaled, so how can it be that no air bags were deployed? I have a report from GM that said that the air bags functioned as designed. Makes no sense! please help!
