Water leaked in from the centrally mounted stop lamp on the third brake light. Water leaked into the frame of the car and eventually seeped into the interior of the car from below the drivers seat saturating the floor boards of the car. The heat from the long Georgia summer took care of the rest - leading to extensive damage both from water and from mold. When driving the car in to the dealership - the console of the car had switched off and the OnStar feature was unavailable. Various warnings started to display related to the air bag as a result of the damage.
This is the subject of an internal bulletin within GM - meaning that they knew that this is an issue - but it was deemed not worthy of being an issue of being a recall. I have had health problems that relate directly to this issue, as has my wife. GM has put my kids and the rest of my family in danger as a direct result of their negligence.
GM has no acting director in charge of warranty issues - and so my case lingers on. No inspector has yet been assigned to assess the damage - and so my car has drifted into its second month at the dealership - soon to be totaled - once it receives much needed attention from GM
