I am so freaking irritated!! This morning I got in my car and my passenger seat floor board was soaked with green anti-freeze. My car started overheating, so we went to put water in it. I drove home and all the water has leaked out, but I cant find the leak. I don't have much $$ to take it to the shop so I need to find out what the problem is and hopefully find a cheap mechanic. Any advice.

Car running hotter then normal, fans not engaging when there supposed to and loss of coolant. Had to replace a switch for the fans and replace all gaskets linked to the cooling system at approx. 60K miles. The fans are still an issue to this day the car runs really hot when in heavy traffic or while idling.

I have officially bought my last GM vehicle. I once again had to replace my intake manifold gaskets and heater core after my low coolant light came on and I started to smell burning coolant inside and outside of the car as well as the heater not working, it was 26 degress this morning!!!!!! Mechanics and Dealers alike will tell you the main problem is the Dex-Cool antifreeze GM still uses after 10 years of constant failure.Yes I know alot of people will say switch to green anti-freeze the problem with that is that even with a flush and fill you still risk Dex-Cool being in the coolant system and with the addition of regular green anti-freeze you risk total engine failure!!!
