(reported on)Monte Carlo SS 3.8L V6
- Automatic transmission
- 56,672 miles
Engine surge at about 40 miles per hour and up going up hill and take off from stop. No codes. Tested system and found PCM causing transmission to shift incorrect. Replaced PCM now ok. Thought they might have to pull transmission if this didn't fix it. Thank goodness they didn't have to do that.
