Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds and attempting to make a left turn, the steering wheel became difficult to turn. In addition, the contact stated that the brake pedal was depressed and the vehicle spun out of control. As a result, the contact crashed into a tree on the front driver side. The air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed. The contact sustained head and back injuries that required medical attention. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact received NHTSA campaign number:14V355000(electrical system) and believed the failure was related to the failure. The approximate failure mileage was unknown.
