Hit bump at below 15 mph while turning right at a very busy intersection during rush hour and spare tire fell off. Circumstances were fortunate in that it happened the way it did because I didn't have any high speed tailgaters.
The paint has a defect in it on the hood and the roof that looks like it is peeling down to a gray surface and I called the service center and he told me I am out of luck of getting my car painted. It is clear that it is a defect in the paint so why should I have to pay for it out of my pocket.

While driving about 30 mph engine started jerking, and engine light came on the dashboard. Then, engine stalled. When consumer got out of vehicle smoke was coming out of the bottom of vehicle. A few feet away could see fire wich was extinguished on its own, then fuel was dripping under.
At 40824amiles the car could not shift out of first geer and the service engine soon came on. I called the auto shop and they said to bring it in and that I could drive it until the light flashed. I took it in and had it repaired (which I have fought for the $200 deductable) at the time I questioned the fact that a transmission could go out so fast. ( I do not tow anything-it is a work car and take the kids to sports) two months to the day, I am having the exact problem with the car. Everyone I talk with that has a 97 Chevy Blazer has a transmission problem.
Engine check light comes on & off. Code reads: P1870-means transmission is slipping at different speeds. Got vehicle at 36000 miles--dealer may have known of problem-may need replacement. Should be a recall for all the complaints I've seen so far.
Transmission went at 72000 miles.I know that warranty expired, but it seems a new transmission should have lasted longer than that. I had two rebuilt transmissions put in in 60 days, and the engine check light still comes on, and the transmission needs to be worked on again. I have heard this was an ongoing problem with 1997 Chevy trucks.
