Both tailgate cables corroded from the inside out, I was on the tailgate when it decided to give way. To replace the cables you have to replace two silly metal pieces, and together the 2 cables cost $180 (CAD + tax) there have to be other stronger non-rusting materials they could use, not to mention the fact that other trucks the cables can be easily removed without the stupid metal pieces. WHAT WAS GM THINKING!!!
