We've had drivetrain vibration trouble with our truck since it was almost new. It has been in the service dept. Several times for this problem. The dealership has replaced different items without fixing the problems. The dealership has reduced some of the vibrations. The vibration gets bad enough that the dome light cover has fallen off due to vibrations. From what we've researched G.M. has had problems with the '99,2000 &2001 Silverado trucks and have been unable to fix the problems. The last visit to the service dept., we were told that "yes" there is vibration with our truck, but it's within GM specs and they can't or won't do anything else with it. We now have a problem when shifting from reverse to drive with our foot on the brake the truck sometimes jumps foward. We are going through arbitration with the better business bureau and speaking with the GM rep. About these problems, he felt that these problems were not safety related. I told him that if a truck jumps foward with the brake on is a safety problem. I told him the vibration problem was a safety issue also due to the stress put on vibrating parts in the short or long run. The GM rep. Is acting like we have the only truck with this problem, which is not the case. There is not enough room here to tell more about these problems and were more then happy to discuss these problems.

At 2000 miles front tires started to show noticeable wear, dealer said front end out of alignment could have cause the tire wear, rotated the back tires to the front and realigned the front end, same wear appeared at 5000 miles. Goodyear said low inflation cause permanent damaged. The pressure is 35lbs on all four tires, although the labels says 28lbs on front and 35lbs on the rear.

Well first off 1: vibrations at speeds of 40+ the front end feels like it going to fall apart the sterring wheel shakes violently when slowing as the the vibrating is going on, you have to come to a complete stop and put it park and then proceed and it might go away, it's like the driveline or shaft gets out of balance, and the brake barley work its like they are fighting against you putting pressure on them. #2: when you hit a bump with brakes applied the peddal starts pumping back and forth and you can barely stop. #3: front left suspension squeaks and rattles when making a right or left turn its like your shifting the weight and something is looose. #4: transmission clunks when putting into gear from park or into reverse almost as if a U-joint was bad but noise comes from tranny and driveshaft. And when coming to a stop you can feel the tranny down shifting like its just dropping out of gear the whole truck rocks. Well Chevy need to do something before someone dies, , after reading the previous complaints I thought I just had a lemon but I see I'm not alone I took the trk to the dealer for the vibration and was told no problem existed but the vibration went away for awhile do they know something and just are told be quiet. Help me I should have got Ford

Truck has a "vibration" that the dealer can not correct. Feels like a tire out of balance. Tires balanced and "vibration" is not as bad, each time tires are balanced they are found to be out of balance. Service manager has told me that "I would have to live with this". manufacture says "all trucks have this vibration". the rear left door will not close in freezing weather till the truck has been ran long enough to warm the interior, (about 5 miles),since the front door latches to the rear door it will not close completely. Service manager at dealer states he has not heard about this problem.

Truck was fine for first two months then small vibrations. Dealer said two bad tires and changed them (no better). Two weeks later dealer checks tires and says three bad tires. Changed all four (no better). Now dealer wants me to pay for an upgrade to michelins to solve the problem. Why should I have to pay for GM`S cheap tires?
