Driver's side window went down and wouldn't go back up at 40K miles. Dealer replaced regulator and motor for $400. I was told by the dealer that this happens all of the time with the Silverado windows. Since then, both passenger side windows have stopped working within two weeks of each other. No help at all from GM - they say it isn't a common enough complaint for them to take any action. I told them that three of the four windows in my truck have had it - how common do you need it to be! I'm going to fix the two passenger windows myself and just wait for the last window to fail - I know it will...

Well just like some of your previous owners I to have a 03 Silverado with a non working drivers side window. Seems to me that by the complaints it's mainly trucks up in the northern part of the country. I haven't contacted my dealership because I'm tired of getting " there's no recall for your truck on this problem". The dealership and GM told me recently my truck is not covered by the recall for the anti-lock brakes, even though it is doing the exact same thing that the recall is about. No wonder they're having so much trouble selling their vehicles. I know I won't buy another GM product.
