OMG, this is so annoying. When I turn the air on, sometimes it works. It can be on full blast, and then suddenly go down, or just go completely out. Sometimes it won't come on at all until after a few tries. Also, after I shut the truck off, cold air is still coming out of the vents (on low). I have to start the truck again, and shut it back off for it to quit. Could this just be a switch, or does it sound like a much bigger problem?

Thanks all:-)

My GMPP warranty clearly states that the blower motor and the wiring harness are covered under this warranty, however when i brought my chevy in to my dealership ( after nearly burning down my house!!!) they fixed it but said it was not covered. This is what it says on my invoice: "Blower resistor and Harness for HVAC melted. Inspect Blower operation, check wiring, check power and GRD to blower and switch, replace blower resistor and wiring harness. Apply Dielectric grease." ...charged for a Resistor and a Connector to the tune of $555.00.

From what i understand, the wiring harness shorts out, which then damages the resistor connector and blower. I also know that these are purchased as a kit. If your arm is under warranty doesn't that include your elbow!!!!???!!! ...to add insult to injury, they crashed my truck whilst going through the car wash. damages upwards of over $1000 which they will make good under their insurance, however they want me to pay the invoice in the meantime!!!??? my truck is now devalued....they should be fixing my Chevy and giving me an extra 500 for the trouble!! Damsel in distress

This really sucks! My AC is not working. Same problems like the other owners. First, The AC in speed 5 stopped working, and then it didn't work at all. The only cold air I get is when I am driving in the freeway. A few months ago, it worked for a few days and it broke again. It sucks not having AC here. Anyone been able to fix it?

Heater blower fan goes full blast on its own, with or without the key in ignition. No fix yet, dealer told me to look at the wiring.

I agree with everyone out there who has issues regarding their GM maintenance timings. GM is never open when you really need them. I find I have to take a lot of time from work just to keep my vehicles maintained or repaired. It seems that the customer has to work around the GM world of, I'll fix it when we are open, I don't care to deal with you right now, it is closing time. Or if you are travelling, come back on Monday. If these products that come off of the assembly lines were to be built as quality instead of quantity, I could see dealerships keeping the open store hours that they have. As far as all the complaints that Gm gets, they should start focusing on the customer instead of their own welfare and fat wallets!
