I own a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado with violent vibration issues at freeway speeds, I checked on line and found other 2014-2017 Chevrolet and GMC truck owners with the same problems. I had my wheels re-balanced twice and replaced the tires and still have the vibration issue. GM are aware of the problem and currently there is no recall. I have a few video links below with other truck owners with the same problem.

Silverado 1500 LT V8

When I first got the truck we used to go on short rides ( maybe up to 300 miles} in a day. We enjoyed the truck a lot. In January Bergstom motors here in town found the front shocks were leaking. They replaced them and said that was the problem. It wasn't the truck ride so rough now that we no longer take the ride anymore. I only drive it when I have to now. I have had 10 chevrolet products in my driving time. I alway liked the chevrolet trucks, but now with the ride I'm getting with this one I might have look at a different truck.

Silverado 1500 LTZ 6.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 300 miles

MY TRUCK HAS BEEN BACK TO THE DEALER 14 TIMES. TWO ORIGINAL TIRES WOULD NOT BALANCE SO THEY WERE REPLACED. STILL THE VEHICLE ROAD LIKE A WAGON. THEN THE DEALER PUT FOUR DIFFERENT BRIDGSTONE TIRES ON AND TWO OF THEM WOULD NOT BALANCE, SO THEY WERE REPLACES. ONE ORIGINAL WHEEL WAS REPLACED. STILL A VERY BAD RIDE.

DEALER RE-TORQUED THE MOTOR MOUNTS AND ROTATED THE DRIVESHAFT 180. DEALER HAD RUN SEVERAL PICO TESTS WHICH STILL SHOWS VIBRATION. ALL THIS HAS BEEN OVER THE LAST 11 MONTHS. THE DEALER HAS DONE WHAT THEY CAN BUT GENERAL MOTORS IS BLOCKING AND FUTURE REPAIRS.

THE SERVICE DEPT TOLD ME THEY GIVE UP AND THE DISTRICT MGR WAS GOING TO DO A BUYBACK WITH ME. TODAY I AM TOLD I CAN TRADE MY VEHICLE WITHOUT ASSISTANCE/MONEY FROM GENERAL MOTORS. THE RIDE IS SO BAD, ITEMS ON THE BACK SEAT VIBRATE OF THE SEAT.

I PAID $3,000 FOR A WHEEL PACKAGE WITH 22" WHEELS. THIS WAS ON THE WINDOW STICKER AS PART OF THE OPTIONS. HELL NO I WILL NOT TRADE IN FOR ANOTHER CHEVY. AS TRADE IN, I WILL LOSE MY ASS. RECOMMEND BUYERS STAY AWAY FROM THE SILVERADOS.

I bought a new 2014 Chevy Silverado W/T 2 , V6, 2 W/D 17 " wheels. It has a moaning vibration at about 55 - 70 mph, it kind of phases though the body. I can feel it at the steering wheel.

The 6 speed transmission feels like it is kind of slippy as it shifts though the gears.

Silverado 1500 LT V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 7,000 miles

I bought the truck new and it was the first time I own a Silverado 1500 LT. I had Ford F350 Dually crew cab, Chevy Silverado 2500HD single cab, 2-Chevy Silverado 3500HD extended cab Dually, GMC Sierra 3500HD single cab Dually and none of them had vibrations. The truck was running so smooth at the beginning and then it started to vibrate and I brought it twice to the dealer to be told that there was nothing wrong with the truck.

I made a video of a bottle of water in the console just to show how strong is the vibration and I am getting ready to take it back to the dealer. If I have another smart ass telling me there's nothing wrong with it, I will take his ass on the Turnpike and show him what's going on. This is very frustrating when all you hear is the passenger seat and seat belt rattling nonstop at around 70m/h on a smooth highway. I am a Chevy guy and honestly, I am very disappointed with this truck!!

Silverado 1500 LT V8

I am a Chevy guy and only had 2500HD and 3500HD dually my whole life and I never had trouble with any vibrations. This is the first 1500 I ever bought and I am very disappointed. The truck was so smooth for the first few month and then it started vibrating, so I took it to the dealer twice since and they always give me some lame excuses. They say that they took it for a test drive and can feel anything and that I should reduce the air pressure in the tire to see if it stop!!!

Please see the short video my wife made while I drove on the Turnpike between Plantation and Pompano beach in Florida...you can't tell me they do not feel or notice this!

I will take it again to the dealer and I will personally take the guy on the test drive.

Silverado 1500 LT 5.2L

  • Automatic transmission

On my way home from the dealer ship with my new Silverado everything was smooth sailing. Until, like a switch was flipped my truck started shaking so bad I pulled over to make sure I wasn't about to loose a tire. I returned the truck to the dealership where its been for the last two weeks. They have replaced the drive shaft which didn't fix the shaking. They are now replacing the rear axle. No word yet if this will fix the shaking.
