Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Silverado 3500 4WD 8-cyl Diesel

  • Automatic transmission

When driving at low parking speeds or stopped steering wheel is really hard to turn and locks up. Many near accidents because of this fault GM says it knows about the problem but has no fix for it. Very unsafe condition and know I am scared to drive my 50K plus pickup truck. Buyers beware. Don't buy a GM diesel pickup.

I noticed at about 29,500 miles that the power steering was not functioning normally at park or low idle speeds. Also there is a clunking in the steering column at low speeds and while turning.

The power steering stops working at low speed or parked. I have contacted GM several times regarding this and they say there is no fix at this time. Dealership has witnessed and documented the problem. I feel this is becoming a safety issue, as it gets Make common, every day.
