Spark LT 1.2L

Coil Packs should not be failing at 73k miles. They don't even recommend spark plugs until 100k. The repair cost was $470.00 and they changed out the 3 spark plugs as well.

Spark LX 1.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 55,344 miles

Daughter reported that her check engine light was flashing and her traction control turned itself off again. When she pulled out of driveway she heard the engine growling and turned around at the end of the street and returned to driveway. Took vehicle to King Chevrolet on 9/11/2017 and asked them to check the engine. I also told them I was aware of a silent recall on the PVC value and that numerous other owners had their engines repaired or replaced and the problems continued to happen. Informed King that a GM Investigator would be contacting them about this situation. Car still at dealership.

Driving home from work, car starts decelerating, check engine and oil lamp come on with a code that flashed and then went out before I could get a good look at it. Sound coming out from under hood similar to that of a card from a deck of playing cards put into the spokes of a bicycle. Stop at auto supply and buy oil, only 1,000 miles into most recent oil change, car registering only 56% oil, no leaks detected under car, especially since I park on my driveway at home. Put 5 quarts of oil into car. Running better. How is it burning that much oil in 1,000 miles!?

Spark ES

  • Automatic transmission
  • 23,000 miles

I brought it to the dealership a few weeks ago because it was riding "rough" at 23000 miles, even when I was on cruise control it would randomly misfire here and there. I brought it in they said I was low on oil and sent me on my way. This was the first symptom of a VERY SERIOUS ISSUE but I can only mark one complaint at a time.
