DON'T BUY THIS CAR!!!!! I had to pick a specific date for the problems with this car but they actually occurred intermittently from the day I picked it up. I had to drive it for a little to be sure the problems were actually occurring and they seemed to be happening more frequently the more I drove it. Dealership told me all the problems (hesitating on acceleration from a stop, feeling like brake applied when coasting, not shifting into 2nd gear when driving, and engine "missing" a little) were all from the "factory installing the wrong pistons" in "some" of the Sparks and now they need to rebuilt my engine (replacing the pistons I'm assuming) and all this in a car with less than 500 miles on it.

TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED IN CHEVROLET. Will never buy another Chevrolet product and intend to dump this POS as soon as I can. I was impressed with the "cute" styling, easy to handle and park and loved the Lime green but I want something I can rely on, not just sit and look cute. Also the most gas mileage I could get around town was 24.5 and I'm 74 years old and not a petal to the metal driver.

Update from Aug 9, 2014: Dealership rebuilt engine and when test driving after repair found the transmissiion was cracked and now they are replacing the transmission. The dealership has been great, even gave me a new Cruze to drive while Spark being repaired BUT they can't make up for the shoddy car that Chevrolet has made. Thought about asking them to replace car but the new one might have the same (or worse) problems. So sorry I bought this car. Wish I had my Cobalt back or better yet, a Ford.
