We have actually been trying to find a used tranny for our 1997 suburban. The bell housing cracked. We were told that half way through the year in 1997 they replaced the tranny they were using with one that had a removable bell housing because there were problems with the bell housing cracking so were are now without a vehicle still trying to find a tranny and the cheapest price so far is 1000.
