Brakes are very dangerous. The pedal is way too high, and the mechanics say it can't be adjusted. Have to lift my foot way up to get on top of the pedal, and several times shoestrings have caught on the corner of the pedal and I had to pull my foot away to have another go at it. Then when I push the brake pedal down quickly, there is some kind of back pressure; the harder/faster I push the pedal, the more it resists, just like a hydraulic exercise machine. I've heard that the rotors are too small for this weight of vehicle, and that would explain why it takes so very long to stop. I didn't see a stop sign one time, hit the brake pedal, and between the back-pressure on the pedal and the too-small brakes, I was halfway through the 4-lane intersection before the truck ever started slowing down. Just lucky there was no one else coming through. I am terrified that I'm going to kill somebody because of these brakes. The mechanics say they feel like "normal Chevy brakes". I wonder how many people have died from these normal Chevy brakes.
