RIGHT WHEN YOU THINK YOU ARE ABOUT OUT OF GAS THE HAND GOES UP AND SOMETIMES IT IS THE OTHER WAY AROUND, RIGHT WHEN YOU THINK YOU HAVE GAS THE HAND GOES DOWN. YOU HAVE TO KEEP IT AT LEAST A 1/4 TANK OR GREATER TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE.

Need to use the odometer as a gauge for the gas tank. Spoke with a friend who is a fleet mechanic. This is a chronic problem with many of the Chevy/GMC trucks -- worst with the newer models. Problem with the sending unit on the fuel pump or potentially a wiring problem.
