I bought Achilles desert hawk uhp 285/50/R20 tires in late 2019 from Walmart. and had them mounted in 2020 from discount tire. Within 10 months of tires being mounted I had a vibration and it was getting worse every day so I started looking at it and found I had a separated tire on the driver's side front. I put my spare on and contacted Walmart which told me sorry for your luck and there is nothing they can or will do.so I contacted discount and they said to contact Achilles tire. I did and never heard back from them. I then forgot about it until roughly 5 months ago when passenger tire was separated. Then 3 days ago the passanger rear separated and now today the driver's rear has separated. I understand 1 tire possibly 2, but to have all 4 tires separate in less than 2 years and in under 10,000 miles is mind blowing to me..I have all the tires and I filed a complaint with Walmart and Achilles after the 2nd one. I honestly don't think it's discount tires responsibly. I only had them install tires because walmart would make excuse after excuse and I got fed up with it. There should be some sort of liability to the manufacturer and to Walmart. I am asking you if it's possible to look into this. 4 tires separate in 2 years you ée-·-·e77-·e-·

The contact owns a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe equipped with tbc sigma stampede radial SUV tires, size P265/70/R16. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 -60 mph, she noticed that the vehicle was driving awkwardly. After stopping and inspecting the vehicle, she discovered that the rear driver's side tire failed. The vehicle was repaired by an independent mechanic who installed the spare tire. The dealer was contacted and they offered her a pro-rate for a new tire. The vehicle was later replaced with a new tire. The manufacturer was not contacted. In addition, the contact recently noticed a crack in the front passenger side tire. The dealer was contacted and a replacement tire was ordered. The failure mileage on the tires was unknown. The failure mileage on the vehicle was approximately 143,312.

Goodyear silent armor tire is prematurely failing in its sidewall and / the continuity of the product's integrity is compromised. This has already led to a premature blowout in the highway (defined as the exact same reason for the current Goodyear silent armor recall and Nevada lawsuit) and can be seen on two of the 3 remaining tires. The only exception is that this was on a tires produced in 05-10 (one of them) and 11/10 (one of them). I took pictures of the blown tire and of the remaining tires awaiting an opportunity to provide to consul.

I was stopped at a traffic light and when I accelerated the spare tire hoist cable broke due to fraying causing the spare tire to fall from underneath the truck. The driver behind me ran over the spare. Fortunately, I had just began to pull off so speed was not a factor and there was no damage to the other vehicle or person.

I had to replace two valve stems on four tires purchased at bergey tire service, lansdale pa on 8/21/2007. The first replacement was July 3, 2010. When the second one was done, July 21, 2010, the mechanic told me about the problem with the chinese made rubber valve stems. I had just driven 90 miles to the seashore by myself (I am a 69 year old woman), and I shudder to think what would have happened if the tire had gone flat while I was driving 65 mph on the turnpike. Luckily I found the tire flat the day after I arrived. I am grateful that the mechanic told me about the valve problem so that I can get the rest of the tire valves checked.

I was on the 10 freeway going approximately 70 mph, I felt my car starting to shake. I moved over to the slow lane and at that time the tire tread on my left rear tire came completely off and did significant damage to the left rear side. I called aaa to have the tire changed and when the technician arrived he check the air pressure which was 37 lbs. My spare was placed on my vehicle and I drove home. I contacted americas tire co. (I had taken my car in March 2008 to prepare for a trip and they rotated and balanced my tires and I was given the O.K.) I told the manager of my problem and he referred me to copper tire co. I was sent a claim package and was told to mail the tire back for inspection. On July 10 I received a letter from which stated our claim was denied. The reasons where because our tire had a loose patch plug repair and was underinflated. They are saying due to the puncture, which there isn't one because it was repaired in 2006, the tire failed. I called americas tire and told them what crawford had said about the repair and they told me that they follow calif. Law when doing a tire repair. I was also told the patch would not cause a separation of the tread, that is caused by a company defect. Crawford claims that they tested the tire and refuse to provide me with any information. My tire was repaired in Oct. Of 2006, if this was the case my tread would have separated a long time ago. It appears crawford is using this as an excuse not to pay the over $2,000 worth of damage to my car. Crawford claims when a flat tire is repaired with a patch it affect the integrity of the tire. This is nothing more than an excuse for crawford and cooper to not pay for the damaged to my car. I also have noticed that pro comp has had problems with the same style all terrain tire no. LT265/75R16 that I currently have on my vehicle so this is not the first time they have had problems with tread separation with cooper tires.

In the last two months, I have had three flat tires. The first was a completely shredded on the freeway at speeds 65 mph. Costco replaced the tire, which was only 7 months old on May 3, 2004. A month later, sometime in June, a second flat, on the freeway. Costco claimed it was a nail. They said they patched it up and sent us on our way. The third flat, just yesterday on July 18, another flat. We took this tire and to another tire shop and they said it is a problem with the valve stem. We asked that they check the tire, which supposedly costco patched back in June and they said the tire had not been patched and that the air gage was replaced. What we infer is that costco knew something was wrong with these valve stems, lied about it and let us go on our way. Knowing full well that we still had two tires with bad stem valves. This third and final example is proof. Three out of four tires gone back in a period of 10 months is unusual. I don't know if it is a tire defect or a costco, man-made defect and need help.

When the lights are in the on position and you are traveling at 20 -25 mph and take your foot off of the accelerator, the lights will dim for approximately 3 - 4 seconds. The vehicle was taken to a local dealership that stated they could not find anything wrong and that if it were a major problem it would show up some day. The battery has also come apart (the positive battery terminal came out of the battery), the windshield washer pump has been replaced due to leaking and is now currently leaking again, therefore the washer pump will have to be replaced again. A tire has separated for no apparent reason; dealer could not find anything wrong with the tire that would have caused the tire to separate.

In 2002 my 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe (@7800 miles)experienced a total (both sides)sidewall failure on one of the Firestone wilderness le tires. I filed a complaint with you at that time. I had 2 questions; 1- were there any other reports of such catastrophic failure of this tire" 2- are these tires safe" I received no response from your Agency! last week another one of these tires (@28,500 miles)failed(one side wall completely came apart).so, I guess that answers question#2. I've survived 2 of these failures now while many people have been less fortunate and Firestone and GM rake in the $. so, now I'm forced to pay for another set of tires or ride out another failure or 2. I'll spend the $ because I care about the safety of myself and my passengers!!!!

Blowout (outside sidewall). Tires were used on a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe with only 17,000 miles use. Speed of the vehicle at time of incident was approx 60mph. This occurred at night when temperature was about 58 degrees. I have included this information so you can see that neither excessive speed or temperature was a contributing factor.

Right front tire blew out. Dealership claims a nail caused the entire sidewall to blow out. We strongly disagree with them. The tire wasn't leaking air, wasn't underinflated, there were no steering problems, and the tire didn't show any sign of wear. The entire sidewall blew out and cause damage to the tire and rim. For our safety we have removed these Firestone tires from our vehicle, and they are here at our home for inspection. We believe there is a problem with this make of tire.

While traveling on ga hwy 300 - our family was on our way to destin, Florida to stay with family. The left rear tire exploded causing us to run into the median. My husband and I were traveling with our 3 children one of their friends. We were very shaken up and were stranded. Instead of arriving in Florida around 9:30 pm (to have dinner with my sister and mother who live there) we arrived at 1:30 am. If we had not been driving in the inside lane then we would have been hit by traffic!! the tire looked like someone had taken a box cutter and sliced all the way around the outside (inside of the lettering onthe tire) we have taken pictures and saved the tire!
