I am so pissed off at at GM i will never buy there JUNK again. I have the problem with the instrument cluster. GM knows that this is a problem but only stands behind problem for 70,000 miles. Battery gage, oil pressure, tack, speed all pegged to max. What i did was on start up the gages do a reset. If you restart the veh. about 10 times it resets the gages.

Chevrolet sent a letter about the problem but only extended coverage on instrument panel cluster for 7 years or 70,000 miles (of course whichever came first). Since our broke at 110,000 miles (but the car is not even five years old!) said there was nothing they could do. It really is maddening since they know it is a defective part. We had even purchased an extended warranty since we knew we drove a lot. Had other problems too - will never buy Chevrolet again and will tell everyone we know not to either.

SPEEDOMETER FAILED TO WORK, NOW UNSURE OF HOW FAST WE ARE GOING.

YES, I DO FEEL THIS IS A WORTHY COMPLAINT. ESPECIALLY IF NOW THE CHEVY VEHICLES ARE SUPPOSE TO BE GOOD FOR 100,000 MILES (GOOD LUCK WITH THAT ONE!)

I have researched this issue over the internet and found not only other 2003 Tahoe owners with this issue, but other Chevy Makes/Models/Year vehicles with the same or similar issue. I asked the dealer that since this is on several Tahoes (along with other Chevy vehicles), will they cover it as a recall? The answer was "no", but they would be more than happy to fix it for a mere $600 - $800.
