instrument panel on our 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe not working. the panel goes on and off intermittently, a diagnostic check revealed that it is a communication problem between the instrument panel and the computer. the dealer says that it is not under recall, however google searches reveal several recalls.
Intermittent problem causes instrument panel to go crazy. Bells sound, ABS and red brake lights come on. Doors lock and unlock themselves. Sometimes all the gauges on the instrument panel go to zero. multiple error messages are given by the driver information display. Dealer claims to have installed a new instrument cluster, but the symptom is unchanged.
