Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

Fuel gauge on dash reads improperly. Driving with what marked as 1/4 of full tank (26 gal tank which reads 20 gals plus 6 gallon reserve when low fuel light turns on or red-lining). Driving on freeway accompanied by my infant son and toddler niece, when truck completely stalled out on the #2 lane. Was able to glide over to the shoulder, turned off truck and tried turning it over when fuel light came on to indicate that I was low on gas. My primary concern is driving with children and having an incident like this happen, where fortunately no one was injured. The truck did not in any instance indicate the fuel level was low or that it was completely empty. Had problem fixed at Chevy dealership, then on 3/21/08 problem occurred again where gauge is still not reading properly.
