Loud noise in front end of vehicle when cold. This makes a very loud grinding, squeaking noise in the front end of the vehicle when the outside temperature is at or below 22 degrees Fahrenheit. The noise goes away after about 5 to 10 minutes of driving. The dealer says there is no fix for this! I have two 2003 Trackers..and they both make this loud, irritating noise when its cold. Its so loud sometimes, you can hear it a block away. There is no excuse for a manufacturer to ignore a problem like this..even though it may not be safety related, it should still be fixed for free. The dealer says it is a axle seal grinding.
