: the contact stated while driving 65mph, the right rear brake plate fractured and broke. As a result, the right rear tire blew. The vehicle was towed to the residence and the spare tire was applied to the vehicle. 05/30/06 updated - after the spare was mounted, car was driven to colonial Chevrolet. Service manager concern that backing plate failure had cut tire causing failure. Manufacturer notified.
