2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer experiencing problems with the air conditioner as well as with hesitation. Car hesistated every time the consumer tried to pick up speed. Also had problems getting car started at times. Had to play with the key on the passenger side door to start the car. The dealer couldn't duplicate the problem. The car sometimes shut off while in motion.
Ignition switch failed while driving on a busy street which caused the engine to stop immediately. Vehicle was towed to dealership with a suspicion of a dead battery by the consumer. After examination by mechanic it was revealed that the ignition switch was left on when suddenly all doors automatically locked. Center console was dismantled and a cable attached to a solenoid had to be pulled to release the shift lever to open the door. Ignition switch was replaced.
