on my way to work one morning i stick my key in and turned the ignition only to find that the car dash computer indicates that it does not recognize me as a driver... the motor immediately shut off and locked... i had it towed to the nearest chevy dealer and they said that the problem was a burned security module and that the blame was my aftermarket alarm which voids the warranty... i cannot see how this could be as my alarm is only installed as a shock sensor but i'm no expert so i dont argue... after a week and a half my car is not finished and when i call to inquire they say that the main electrical wire is also melted so of course this too needs to be fixed without warranty. altogether, four thousand dollars down the drain and i'm not a happy camper. =/
