The contact owns a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that the rear passenger side tail lights were not working and need to be replaced. The dealer stated that the vehicle was not included in GM recall number 05044 and NHTSA campaign id number 05V198000 (exterior lighting:turn signal). The dealer advised her to write a letter about the issues she was experiencing with the vehicle, in which she did. The contact had to pay for the repairs made to her vehicle. The failure mileage was 74,048.

The contact owns a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that there was an overheating bulb in the tail light assembly. He received a recall notice in 2004 for this failure at 40,000 miles. The dealer inspected both lights and discovered that only the driver's side tail light was defective. The passenger side light was not affected at the time, but currently it is beginning to fail three years later. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and they stated that since it was previously tested and diagnosed, they would not repair the passenger side tail light. The recall number was unknown. The current mileage was 121,839 and failure mileage was 40,000.

Consumer was stopped by a police officer, who informed consumer that the tail lights were out. Vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that tail lights needed to be replaced. Also, vehicle stalled while driving at any speed. The vehicle would hesitate and skip upon acceleration, at stop signs. Traffic lights and while parking on inclines. Multiple components were replaced to correct the problem but they recurred. The radio became extremely hot while driving on long trips. The radio was replaced but the problem continued. The A/C unit failed intermittently because of a faulty A/C switch. The consumer mentioned fuel system problems.
