I was coming home from a pet sitting job at 10pm at night rolling about 65mph when all of a sudden it was like someone put my 04 Chevy Trailblazer Ext in neutral. My vehicle began loosing speed and the engine was revving. I managed to get the vehicle off the road suspecting it was my transmission going bad, despite the fact that I did not have a single hesitation or issue with my transmission prior to it going out. I put the vehicle into park and then shifted it back into drive hoping that it would get me the 10 miles home I still had to go, but the vehicle would not move forwards or backwards. I called a tow company to have it towed, but the tow driver immediate upon his own test declared the transmission burned out. The local garage verified what the tow truck driver already said.. transmission was shot and would cost about $3000 for a rebuilt transmission. After already having spent thousands on this vehicle in a years time I decided against having the vehicle fixed and sold it as is to a mechanic who would fix it up and resell it to someone.
