Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety. Notes: There are a fair-number of power steering related complaints which is a continuation of problems from the previous model year. Considering the problem tends to happen beyond the standard warranty (73k+) it's best to avoid this vehicle or at least be prepared for the $1,300+ repair.

My 2011 Chevy Traverse was parked in the garage for over an hour when my husband walked in the garage and heard a crackling noise. He began walking around trying to find the noise and saw the back window of the Traverse slowing cracking. When he first observed - there was no holes - only cracking. The cracking continued for unknown length of time. Two holes in the center formed as glass fell out. By the next morning, one large hole in the center had formed. The glass appears to bulge out from the inside of the car. The edges of the glass all around the perimeter of the window are gone. Temp outside was around 72 degrees. Nothing unusual about weather or temp on this day.
