Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

CarComplaints.com Notes: There are a fair-number of power steering related complaints which is a continuation of problems from the previous model year. Considering the problem tends to happen beyond the standard warranty (73k+) it's best to avoid this vehicle or at least be prepared for the $1,300+ repair.

Purchased 2011 Traverse on Monday, by Tuesday evening the traction control and the stabilitrak service soon codes were showing. The present mileage is 440 and this started around 350 miles on odometer. Also, while backing out of driveway on incline put car in drive and let off brake began pressing gas, the car continued to roll backwards until I pressed the brake and got on the gas at the same time.

The contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that the brake was depressed into the floorboard abnormally. The failure recurred intermittently and the vehicle was taken to the dealer who performed a diagnostic. The failure was located at the brake master cylinder and the anti-lock computer module. The dealer replaced the master cylinder and the antilock computer module, but the failure persisted. The failure mileage was 300 and the current mileage was 6,500.

Defective braking system includes stabilitrak and ABS system. The brand new vehicle has been serviced five times for braking failure. While waiting at a traffic light the ABS kicked in and the brake went to the floor. The sensors have been changed/debris cleaned/and frayed wires replaced. The vehicle is still not repaired.
