Stabilitrak light was on, then the alarm said traction control off, the check engine light came on. The Traverse certainly has recall problems that need to be looked into, it is a family car. I have provided a you tube link that explains and shows the problem, https://youtu.be/hBvaOIIxnXY I have the same problem on my car.

The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that while driving approximately 60 mph, the stability trac and traction control warning lights illuminated. The vehicle loss motive power and stalled. The contact pulled to the side of the roadway, restarted the vehicle and the vehicle regained some normal functionality. The contact stated that other functions took up to an hour to start working as designed. The contact stated the failure had occurred approximately 100 times. The contact had the fuse box replaced after being advised by a certified mechanic that the fuse box should be replaced however, the failure persisted. The contact took the vehicle to fuccillo Chevrolet of grand island (2000 alvin rd, grand island, NY 14072, (716)773-7505) who repaired the brake pedal however, the failure persisted. The contact returned the vehicle to the dealer who stated the brake sensor needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000.

While driving on the highway at 65 mph the stability control sensor, ABS sensor, and all wheel drive went out all at once, when that happened the car by itself went to 35 mph on the highway and would not allow the car to go over 35 mph.

My 2014 Chevy Traverse has been having this issue for months now. I will be driving and my service stabilitrak, traction control off, check engine light will light up, and engine power reduced will pop up. I can not go over 20 mph. At times the engine will become very stally, jerky, my steering wheel and brakes will be very hard to use. These are very random and non patterned I will have to safely pull over rather it be on a back road or a highway wherever it happens turn the engine off for 5-20 minutes and it will eventually clear everything but the check engine light; which will clear within that day or the next until the next time it happens. It has also cause my key to lock up in the ignition. This is very unsafe and scary. This is my family car and will eventually cause an accident and hurt myself, my kids, or someone else. If you google the issue there are tons of forums, websites, blogs that have the same issue with this car. I have spent numerous hours investigating the issue, lots of money replacing parts as recommended or by the check engine light and it continues to do this. GM is going to have a lawsuit on their hands when someone gets seriously hurt over this issue because they are not doing anything about it.

I was entering the on-ramp going East and my vehicle completely stopped. I was going around 25-30 mph and I had my kids in the car. My computer forced my brakes and I was unable to drive the vehicle. My SUV literally made a full stop while driving at 25-30 mph with my kids in the car and no brake lights ignited. The check engine light and the traction control light came on. They eventually turned off. This happened one other time. I was driving on a residental street and the vehicle stopped again. My husband whom was driving the car said the car just stopped in the middle of the intersection. He tried pressing the traction control button because the check engine light and the traction control light came on and the brakes were forced again and nothing. Imagine going 25mph and stopping abruptly without brake lights for other cars to see. This time I did research and I saw that other 2014 Chevy Traverses were recalled for the chassis module (recall number 14V614000). I saw youtube videos and I checked several consumer the complaint websites and I literally saw over 10 other complaints about the same issue this month! I also put a reader in my vehicle and the two codes that come up is P16aa & P1682. One is for the electronic module system in which the chassis (pertaining to the recall) is listed under). I called the dealer and they said that the recall was active for 2014 Chevy Traverses..... but not mine! I am completely disgusted. These vehicles will kill you - literally and they know it, and they refuse to do anything about it! now I'm paying a car note and I can't even drive it - for the safety of my family, others, and myself. Shame on them - again this is happening to other people! this is a urgent request for help!

General Motors is aware of a brake pedal rubbing noise issue, however they do not inform owners about a remedy. The squeaky/rubbing brake pedal noise is a known issue as I have been told for this model as well as several others on the GM lineup. I am asking GM to take responsibility by documenting my concern as well as issuing a recall so it may be addressed before it causes something to go wrong and possibly cause an accident.

Highway speed, hit moderate pothole and received multiple error messages in the display "engine power reduced" "service stabilitrak" "service traction control". engine barely running/running rough. Brakes have no power assist. Vehicle struggling to maintain 20mph and hard to get off the freeway. Appeared to be complete ECU malfunction. Had to abandon car in a public parking lot and have someone pick us up. Vehicle was towed to local dealership and yet they can find no fault codes, thus releasing the car with no work performed. This phenomenon has been documented on youtube here: [xxx] note: This is not my video, but is the exact scenario I encountered. Similar video documented here: [xxx] many other instances documented on the internet in various vehicle forums and across other GM platforms. This is an unsafe condition that should be a better investigated issue by Chevrolet. The steering has a whining noise and the brake has a squeaky noise that both feel unsafe to drive. Many owners have experienced these issue on Buick enclave, Saturn outlook, Chevy Traverse and GMC acadia as well as others. No solution has been issued by GM and something needs to be done to remedy these issues.

I bought this car used with 39,400 miles on it 4 mths ago. While pressing on the brake it makes a very loud and annoying sqeaking sound. I returned it to the dealership to be looked at and they stated it is in fact the master cylinder affecting the brake, and it is a known Chevy Traverse problem that should be recalled.

I bought this car used, and shortly after noticed there was a squeaking sound whenever you depress the brake pedal. I took it in to the dealership and they deduced it was the brake booster. They said this is a known issue with the Traverse but it had not been recalled yet. I spent over $400 getting this fixed.

41K miles and transmission sometimes won't shift. I even had to pull over today and shut off the car after it wouldn't upshift up a residential hill. 41K miles and had to replace front brake pads already. They had plenty of brake left, but they were cracked.

While in motion, the vehicle began to sputter, the dashboard and radio went blank, the locks in the doors went up and down several times. I pressed the brake and was unable to stop the car as I was approaching a stop sign. I had to roll through the stop sign and narrowly missed being hit at the intersection. Within a few seconds, the vehicle regained power and I was able to drive home. This has happened on 2 other occasions where the car has lost electrical power for several seconds while driving down the road. I also went out to my stationary parked car and tried to start it one morning. The vehicle was completely dead, like it had a dead battery, but the ignition would not release my key or let me turn the key back to the off position. So I started to try to get to the battery to jump the vehicle off, but by the time I got ready to do this, I opened the car door and all the lights came back on and the car started right up (but without a working radio this time). This is a very serious and dangerous problem. We have only had the car for a few months and we have now had our car in a Chevy dealership for 15 days and they have been unable to replicate the problem and so they are trying to send the vehicle home with us without any other solution other than to keep driving it (putting my family in danger) and try to record it when it happens again (so I can prove I'm not crazy or just making this stuff up).

The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse. While driving approximately 55 mph, the vehicle accelerated independently without warning. In addition, the contact stated that the brake pedal was depressed and failed to respond. The contact was able to avoid a crash by switching the gear into the neutral position. The vehicle was not diagnosed ore repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 18,148.

I have taken my vehicle in numerous times for the same issue; the brakes & radio. The radio screen becomes black off & on. The major issue are the brakes. The dealer supposedly has replaced the booster. This is now my fifth time taking it into the dealer. When you press down on the brakes it releases air & the brake pedal seems to have no cushion. It goes all the way down!!! I've only had this car a couple of months!
