Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety. Notes: The 2015 model year is the first of the sedan's 2nd generation. Maybe they should have stuck with the 1st generation.

  • 11,200 miles

The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. While driving 20 mph, the uconnect system failed. The failure of the uconnect system caused the radio to display all white on the navigation system screen. The vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 15V461000 (equipment). The vehicle was taken to the dealer to have the recall repair remedied; however, the part was unavailable. While driving in inclement weather and due to the glare from the navigation screen, the contact was involved in crash with a pedestrian crossing the street. Due to the glare, the contact was unable to see the pedestrian. A police report was filed. The pedestrian did not suffer any injuries. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 11,200.
