CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2015 Chrysler 200 carries the torch of "never buy the 1st year of a new vehicle generation" with pride.

The 2015 model year is the first year of the Chrysler 200's 2nd generation. It has been plagued by problems from the start. Transmission failure at extremely low mileage, many recalls, problems stalling while driving... the list goes on. Maybe Chrysler should have stuck with the 1st generation.

Went out to start car and took several attempts to get it to start, all the lights came on but it acted as if the car was to weak to turn over? Had this issue last winter where if it was to cold out sometimes the car wouldnt start, its a real piece of sh*t, paying over $300 a month on a loan for a piece of junk. No warranty for whatever the issue is, bought this car pre-owned at 30k. No wonder the previous owner sold it. Now yet again another winter where I have to find out if the cars going to start if its 10 degrees out. Stick with Hyundai - needless to say that never gave me a problem.

I have called the dealership several times about this problem. They said they fixed it, but it still continues to hesitate to start. It tends to happen once I shut off the car and it starts beeping at me. It is getting worse and takes about 5-15 mins for it to start. It happens way too much. It is so annoying. I even called Chrysler in MI. They can't and won't do anything about the problem. Hate this car.

Intermittent extended crank time—after pushing the ignition button, engine attempts to turn over for several seconds (2-3 times longer than a typical crank) before starting.

a. Engine code showed the dealership there had been extended crank times. Dealership attempted repairs, citing an oil pressure problem, but issue continued. b. On a separate service visit, we were told this was due to a recall and they were awaiting parts. c. Recall work was performed around 12/1/15, but the issue still exists. The issue has actually gotten substantially worse since the weather has gotten cold. d. Currently, if it delays when cold, by the time it does turn over, the car sounds weak like it was about to run out of power. e. Vehicle is currently at the dealership for this issue for the fourth time.
