I have to start my car and let it run for 20 minutes at least at a time to get the temperature gauge to have 4 or 5 notches, before I can take off or it will immediately die.. no matter the temperature outside I can't just ever get in it and go or it will just shut off. It's like I quit giving it the gas. It starts back up usually after 2 tries. It acts like I'm not giving it gas, just stops..

GOV driver was being signaled by other passing vehicles to pull over as their vehicle was on fire. The driver was able to safely stop the vehicle and found the engine compartment was on fire. He then called EMS. 1) How fast was the customer traveling when they became aware of the fire? I was at a stop light when I was notified by another vehicle that my car was on fire. I had no idea my car was on fire previously. Once I pulled over I starting seeing smoke come out the vents. I was on the highway on my way to the destination and possibly going 60 MPH but didn-€™t see any smoke while on the highway. 2) What was the recent usage of the vehicle before the incident" Was it used that day? How long had the vehicle been driving before the incident" The GOV was used maybe once or twice every two months. Yes it was used that day for about 25 minutes before the fire was noticed. 3) Did any vehicle operator notice anything wrong or unusual about the vehicle prior to the incident? Not to my knowledge 4) Any after-market equipment installed? Not to my knowledge

3 ongoing problems. 1. Our car dies while driving. This is Dangerous. Tonight is the 3rd (maybe 4th) time in about a year or year and a half or so. The first two times modesto jeep dodge chrysler determined it was too low on oil (but the mileage was much less than when oil change was due according to my oil change sticker. Also very dangerous because there is never an oil light that comes on the dashboard to warn oil low. About 3 months ago it died 500 miles before oil change supposed to be due. Tonight it died again with no warning. Oil change is not supposed to be due for another 1000 miles. Very scary. No warning light. 2. After I'm stopped at a stop sign or light then during acceleration car jerks. 3. I've had this car about 3 years. The airbag light came on shortly after I owned the car. Never been in an accident in this car.

I was driving and stopped started taking off and my car shut off in the middle of the road as I was crossing a busy intersection. It would not allow me to cut my hazards on. Then after a couple mins it started back up. The engine light came on and then went away. I received a letter in the mail from FCA on 5/17/21 stating powertrain software needed to be updated. This needs to be labeled as a safety hazard this could have caused an accident. This vehicle shuts off in the middle of the street randomly from this and the dealer is telling me they cannot fix this until Friday. I spoke with someone at the FCA recall center who advised this is doing this because it needs that software update this needs to be labeled as a safety recall not an update.

My car will not recognize my key fob. All the lights in my car will light up on the inside but it will not unlock. If I unlock it with the actual key in the door, the alarm will go off. I will be driving and my car will notify my that my key fob has left the vehicle when it clearly has not. I have had the key fob replaced and changed batteries in both key fobs that I own. It also will not allow me to start it. This started in June 2020 when I purchased the car new in May 2020

While in motion the parking break can engage at any speed and it's placement on the car itself is dangerous and jerks the car if pressed while moving therefor could cause extreme harm. For the safety of myself, any or all passengers, or drivers nearby, in the event of an accident it needs to be moved to a location that isn't not easily reachable and also not allowed to even remotely engage while moving. I only occurred whiplash and my fast thinking and luck of having the room to slow down, but otherwise it is highly dangerous and it should never engage U less the brakes are being pressed and definitely not at speeds up to or over the speed limits.

My service air bag light has come on several times in the last 3 years of me owning this car. Regardless of being in motion or parked. I have taken it in to a dealer and even they said they receive this problem far too much and said I will have to come back for them to clear the code. Olease repair this before it cost my life or someone else's.

Cars tipn needs replaced after 35,000 miles. Car initially set all dash lights off, one front and one rear led light remained on even after key was taken out and never went out leading to dead battery. The car died on me while driving it about 20mph as I was attempting to pull out onto roadway causing near accident. Been without a car for last 3 weeks while trying to get diagnosis and repair. Total cost from going to several repair shops to get diagnosis and part to replace it is estimated to cost $1500-2000 which I cant afford. I am making payments on a car that I cant even drive. I am a college student and this was my first purchase of a car with my own money. This part needs to be recalled. I have read multiple complaints with the same issue. One Chrysler repair shop made comment that he was surprised they havent had a recall on that part due to all the ones he has seen needing replaced. This needs to be fixed and Chrysler needs to be accountable.

Car has shut off while driving last few mornings. It happened in the exact same spot each morning. As soon as I turned onto a road, going 20-30 mph, the car just stalls, says "place in P to start" and then dies. The gearshift and wheel lock up and you have to turn the car off and attempt to restart. Each time I had to try at least 3 times to get the car restarted. All lights come on dash, battery light included, but had battery checked and it is fine. Trying to restart, it doesn't want to turn over. This has happened with several cars behind me and have almost been rear ended because of it. Taking into dealership tomorrow to see what they're going to do. After reading other stories very similar to mine, I'm not very hopeful.

Can only start with a charge once charge removed car doesn't start. The car was stationary. I recently found out that the car was on the recall list, but I never received notification from the car company.

Within 1 mile, my car shut off twice while coming to a stop. The screen on the dash said to 'shift to P to start'. I did so, and then it sounded as if my car didn't want to start back up and took me three tries the first time and two the second time to get it started. Now looking into it these cars have a history of this same problem since the beginning of them being made, but nothing is being done about it.

Takata recall. After I reached 64,000 miles may vehicle turned off while driving to work. It took at least 5 times for the motor to turn over. As soon as power was restored battery light came on. Now the battery light is off but the check engine light is on. Since then I have taken the car to my local mechanic and was told it was the battery. I've had my battery tested and that's not the problem. There now S a major electrical issue that is wrong. I have tried to drive my car since and it continues to turn off. This is only not a hazard to myself but to others that are driving because it abruptly stops in the middle of traffic. Chrysler I need you to investigate this issue.

Starting in October 2018 this car has cut off on me for no reason at any given time. I will be driving and it will cut off and tell me to shift into park. Sometimes it cranks back up other times it doesn't. I have taken it to landmark Chrysler five different times. Each time I am told that it's a different problem. And each time the car does the exact same thing again. This has endangered my life and the life of my two year old son. After completing two different oil consumption test landmark(morrow, ga) still hasn't been able to diagnose the problem so the warranty company won't fix the car. They know that it's using too much oil but they claim they don't know why. This car is a safety hazard and nothing is being done about it. They just try to get you to trade it in for another car with a higher payment. This problem really needs to be investigated before it causes someone their life. I have been driving on major highways when this car has cut off with no warning and narrowly missed being hit by a semi truck. I have filed a complaint with Chrysler corporate but that has gotten me no where because the person I speak with (will in customer care) does nothing and claims that he doesn't have a supervisor that I can contact.
