The indicator lights on the dash come on while driving, witch causes the head lights to go out. I think this is a very dangers thing to happen. Chrysler corporation should recall this model car and take care of the problem before I have an accident.

I notice my lights blinking in the middle of the day when I was behind a big truck. Since then it appears to happen almost everytime I start the car and tends to go away after 30 minutes of running. At night it is very dangerous. The lights will blink and sometimes go completely off.. when I turn them off they come back on..then go out again I turn the switch and they come back on.. sometimes the dash lights also go completely out and other times they go from dim to bright and back to dim.

While driving app 55 mph at app 8pm at night my cars lights and all the dash lights went out and the car completely stalled. I was able to turn on flashers and coast the car to the side of the road. I sat there for several minutes and then the car restarted. Fortunately there was no one following behind me. I have been out of town on business and used a company car. Upon my return I took my car to our local shop today. They were unable to detect any problems, however shared an article stating more than 150,000 Chrysler owners have had similar trouble. They contacted the nearest Dodge/Chrysler dealer in aberdeen Washington who offered no help or information. They could give no reason for the incident. We have not received any recall notice, nor information regarding any possible problems. How should I proceed" I am unable to drive my vehicle for fear this may happen again, and this time I may not be so fortunate. This has created a significant burden and stress. It seems someone should be accountable and that there is a significant liability by not being notified of this significant safety issue. Is this an issue I need my attorney to address" thanks in advance for your help. [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

I was driving the car and the headlights shut off, dash lights went out and warning lights on the dash started lighting up and blinking on the dash. In addition, the gauges all dropped to zero and then returned after a few seconds. Everything returned to normal after a few seconds except the headlights. The headlights returned when switched to on instead of auto (it was dark outside). This all happened while the car was in motion at 60mph. After the car was parked and engine shut down, I restarted it and the headlights worked properly in the auto setting again. This problem replicated itself 2 weeks after the first incident. Again, headlights shut off while driving in the dark.

The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that the gear shifter lever failed to operate unless the shifter cover was removed and the cable was loosened. When driving in cold weather temperatures, the transmission would cause the vehicle to jerk with hesitation. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign id numbers 05V460000 (power train:automatic transmission); however the vehicle was not included in the recall. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for repair. In addition, both engine fan motors failed to operate and one of the plastic fan motor blades caused a burning odor whenever driving. In addition, the fog light lens cover was melted. The contact replaced both fog light assemblies. The vehicle was repaired at an independent repair shop. The approximate failure mileage was 10,000. The VIN was unavailable.

Lights flashing on and off this is the first time it has done it but I think that is enough cause this is a huge safety issue when your driving at night and all the sudden you have no lights and once I pulled over they still continued to flash on and off I will not trust this car for along time now after dark and that is really sad cause I really enjoy this car.
