Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that her vehicle was stuck in park and she is unable to shift from park. Also, the override system would not operate. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileages was 60,000.

The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that with the engine running, the vehicle shift lever would not release from the park position. The contact researched and found that there was a small part that was possibly fractured and causing the failure. The dealer advised that the entire mechanism would have to be replaced because the part was not sold separately. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 30,000.

The vehicle was towed to the dealer who stated that it was a plastic latch pen that broke. The dealer stated that the entire gear shift needed to be replaced in order to repair the vehicle. The failure mileage and current mileages were 52000.

The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer where the technician informed that the cause of failure was contributed to the gear shifter.
