Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. The contact owns a 2010 Chrysler 300. While the vehicle was parked, the contact was able to shift the gear out of the park position without depressing the brake pedal. The vehicle was taken to a dealer who was unable to diagnose or repair the vehicle. In addition, while the vehicle was parked and attempting to shift the gear lever into drive, the vehicle lurched in reverse and crashed into a garage door. The air bags failed to deploy. There were no injuries and a police report was not filed. The vehicle was taken to an auto body repair center for body repairs, but was not diagnosed for the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and sent a technician out to inspect the vehicle. The failure mileage was 20,000.
