I was shocked, when all of a sudden, while driving, I heard grinding noise and my vehicle refused to move faster than 15 miles per hour and started to shake then stop. I had to sit a couple of minutes and start the vehicle and it did the same thing (move, shake, stop). I had vehicle towed home and then learned that there is no dipstick to check transmission fluid. I questioned whether my transmission fluid had been checked at the dealership during my routine oil changes. I had vehicle towed to a Chrysler dealership and was informed transmission was shot. Sticker price shock $3700 to replace with only 75,000 miles. As I read other stories online, there seems to be an issue with the transmission in Chrysler 300s failing with low mileage. Also, I learned that the 300c has a Mercedes transmission. Maybe the Mercedes model vehicles with this same type (model) of transmission are failing and a recall should be done.
