How do we make Chrysler recall an pay for this.. How many of these 2001, 300M have been in accidents results in death that was never able to tell there story of how there steering seized up..

I was driving on a highway 65 mph. As the 5 o'clock traffic started I slowed down... thank god I was all the way on the left lane, where I was able to control the car, it happened so fast I couldn't turn the wheel.... I was looking in the rear view mirror as the semi-truck behind me... (felt like he scraped the side of the car as he swerved barely missing me) very close,.. A couple cars followed him before I slowed all the traffic down... I wasn't all the way off the lane but more to the middle an left... Car wasn't moving, I wasn't moving a few minutes freaked out by the semi-truck, hands shaking trying to get the phone out my pocket to call tow truck to get me out of the road before I get hit... Had it towed to Lithia Dodge.. Where a couple days later was told that ...STEERING GEAR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED IT LIKE AS IF IT WAS CUT IN HALF... How does that happen tech said they see that a lot when a car has hit something hard... But no evidence that I hit anything hard... I didn't hit anything... Other than going over a speed bump at 10 mph... So now I have a kickass 2001 300m 68205 miles very well maintained sitting in the shop... and needs a steering gear replaced... $1853.87 .

I can't afford to pay for at this time.. I started looking on Google to see if anyone else had this problem... An sure enough... Lots... So please let's all get together an have Chrysler fix this problem... There is to many reported an I bet even more people not reporting it... Should we Facebook this get petition going... I didn't know this was a very common issue with Chrysler cars and that Chrysler isn't taking any responsibility by recalling and fixing the issue with bolts braking off inside the inner tie rod, connecting to the rack pinion steering gear..Causing immediate loss of steering.

it started with the steering wandering with excessive play & violent shaking on the highways & a large clank noise when the bolt snapped in half & leading to total loss of steering. I could have been killed. There has been known deaths due to what Chrysler should take responsibility for and make this issue a recall because it is a major manufacture default. I know I will never own another Chrysler and will make sure that all my friends and family never own one either & I will go public as much as I can with these issues until Chrysler takes responsibility and recalls this very dangerous issue these cars are having!
