CarComplaints.com Notes: Chrysler has taken the boring small car frame of the Neon, grafted a 1930s-era roadster body on top and named it the PT Cruiser. While the new look may appeal to some, the vehicle has unfortunately also inherited many of the same problems as the Neon.

Power locks would go up and down even while driving the car. Mechanic couldn't find the fault or even fix problem. Baffled every person whose tried to repair. Months would go by, and it wouldn't happen, then it starts up again for a few weeks, and then it stops again. Don't know how many times I've locked myself out of the car as I was idling while picking up mail at corner of the street. Thank god I could walk home and pick up the spare key, as it would always never let me in. And it doesn't always happen on all doors at the same time, sometimes it only does it on the drivers door, and sometimes only on the passenger side. A real pain!!
