CarComplaints.com Notes: Chrysler has taken the boring small car frame of the Neon, grafted a 1930s-era roadster body on top and named it the PT Cruiser. While the new look may appeal to some, the vehicle has unfortunately also inherited many of the same problems as the Neon.

gas leak under the hood

This is a one owner car with very low miles. Car had a gas leak from the flex tube that conects to the injectors. Chrysler had a recall to fix an issue of this tube rubbing against the AC cap and causing a leak. This recall was taken care of when it was issued. Started having a strong smell of gas in Nov. of 2015, left town then returned early January of 2016, smell getting stronger. I found the leak, where the tube had rubbed against the AC cap, thought Chrysler took care of that. Took the car to Sun Coast Chrysler in Florida and was told that since the recall was done over 10 years ago Chrysler would nor cover this. They got us, gas spraying under the hood, gotta pay to get our car. Put the new tube on, paid our bill, went outside to our car, raised the hood and the new tube is resting against the AC cap again! WHAT A SCAM!!!! If Chrysler cares, I have pictures I'll share with them. Traded the car the next day!
